Peter Jackson comenzó hoy en Nueva Zelanda con el rodaje del filme El Hobbit, precuela de la trilogía El señor de los anillos, luego de tres meses de retraso, apuntó un comunicado emitido por el cineasta neozelandés.
El reparto del proyecto incluye nombres como Martin Freeman, quien interpretará al hobbit Bilbo Baggins, protagonista de la historia. Ian McKellen regresará con su personaje del Mago Gandalf, además de Elijah Wood, Christopher Lee, Cate Blanchett y Orlando Bloom, quienes repetirán los mismos papeles que representaron en El señor de los anillos, filme galardonado con 13 Oscares totales durante la trilogía.

El ruido de las cosas al caer es la obra del escritor colombiano Juan Gabriel Vásquez (Bogotá, 1973) que le valió el Premio Alfaguara de Novela 2011, uno de los certámenes de mayor incidencia en la literatura de habla hispana, el cual le fue entregado hoy.
El fallo, que fue unánime, fue decidido por un jurado que tuvo como presidente al novelista español Bernardo Atxaga, y como integrantes a Gustavo Guerrero, Lola Larumbe, Candela Peña, Inma Turbau y Juan González. La votación se realizó en un encuentro con escritores y periodistas ubicado en un hotel madrileño.

Amigos, colegas, familiares y autoridades del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA) recordaron hoy aquí al destacado escritor mexicano Carlos Montemayor (1947-2010) durante la presentación de su poemario póstumo “Apuntes del exilio”, en la Sala Manuel M. Ponce del Palacio de Bellas Artes.
En el acto, el también escritor Marco Antonio Campos aseguró que se trata de un vasto poema de amor celebratorio de principio a fin, que recuerda al notable poeta, autor y activista social que fue Montemayor.
Dijo que en este texto existen correspondencias entre su prosa y poesía, y agregó que en ésta última el escritor chihuahuense buscó ante todo recrear momentos grandes de la cultura o acontecimientos claves, que cambiaron la historia reciente de México como el 68 y la guerrilla urbana y rural, o bien, la rebelión zapatista de 1994.

En entrevista, la directora general de la XIX Festival Hablapalabra. México, Vivianne Thirión, se mostró complacida con el festejo colectivo, en el que participaron narradores que dieron vida al ciclo “Lo que cuentan los abuelos”.

Entre los días 8 y 27 de abril, el grupo Foo Fighters recordará sus viejos tiempos y presentará las nuevas canciones de su álbum ‘Wasting Light’ en tocadas de garaje. El disco, que fue grabado en estudio que Dave Grohl tiene en la cochera de su casa, será lanzado el próximo 12 de abril.
El tour se realizará en ciudades como como Nueva York, Washington, Toronto, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Dallas y Seattle. En coordinaciónn con BlackBerry y radios locales, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett y Pat Smear invitarán a sus fans para una gira única en garajes, que después pasará a escenarios mayores; informó el diario ABC.
